Rio Tinto Bribery Trial in China EndsThe three-day trial in China of four employees of the Anglo-Australian mining company Rio Tinto Group ended Wednesday with no verdicts issued on the charges of bribery and theft of trade secrets faced by all four defendants. Australian citizen Stern Hu, the former head of the China sales team for Rio Tinto, testified at the start of the trial on Monday that he accepted bribes from two Chinese steel mills interested in gaining access to iron ore, of which Rio Tinto is one of China's largest suppliers.
