The legal fight over the herbicide paraquat is coming to a head, with the first trial set to begin next week. On Thursday, the U.S. Judicial Panel on Multidistrict Litigation plans to hear arguments on whether to coordinate more than 70 lawsuits brought against Chevron and Syngenta over the herbicide.

Bankruptcy trustees have brought in outside counsel to pursue allegations that Tom Girardi's estranged wife, Erika Jayne, who stars on "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills," might have received millions of dollars in fraudulent funds. Jayne has opposed one trustee's request to hire Beverly Hills attorney Ronald Richards, who is involved in a case against Girardi and has made 290 social media posts about her with "tabloid-style publicity" since Dec. 4.
