Judges Cite More Blogs in Rulings

Judges have discovered legal blogs, citing them at least 32 times since 2004. Perhaps the most noted citation was Justice John Paul Stevens in his U.S. v. Booker dissent. The love of the blog isn't yet universal though, as many judges are reluctant to cite an impermanent source. But Judge Diarmuid O'Scannlain of the 9th Circuit predicted they will come around. "I am sure most judges, when they see carefully articulated logic in whatever form ... are inclined to evaluate it and if relevant cite it."
