Gary, Ind.'s lawsuit against gun manufacturers and local dealers survived a potential setback when a judge ruled unconstitutional a year-old federal law shielding gun makers from lawsuits. Judge Robert A. Pete denied a request to dismiss the city's claim alleging gun makers do little to control the flow of handguns used in crimes.
