Pinsent Masons' Singapore joint venture is set to grow its projects practice with the hire of a partner from Shearman & Sterling. Project finance partner David Platt will join Pinsents in November and will first spend a period of time in the firm's City office, before transferring to Pinsent Masons MPillay in Singapore next year.

Eversheds has added a partner to its Hong Kong arm with the hire of former Slaughter and May litigator Mark Yeadon. Yeadon, who spent 22 years at Slaughters, including 20 in Hong Kong, becomes the fourth partner in Eversheds' Hong Kong disputes team. The office currently houses almost 30 lawyers, a number which the firm plans to grow to 50 in the next 12 months.

World's first listed law firm posts double-digit increase in revenues

Australia's Slater & Gordon, the first-ever law firm to go public, has posted a 21% increase in revenue for 2009-10, taking total turnover to A$124.7m (£71.8m). Profits also saw double-digit growth over the year, rising 16% from A$17m (£9.8m) in 2008-09 to A$19.8m (£11.4m). The firm's Australian Stock Exchange (ASX) listing reported a total dividend of 5c per share for the whole of 2009-10 for the firm.
